Editorial Policy
Last updated: May 21, 2026
Napa.now exists to help travelers make confident, well-informed decisions about visiting Napa Valley. Our editorial standards are designed to keep that promise.
Who writes for us
All Napa.now content is produced by our editorial team — a small group of travel writers, wine enthusiasts, and California locals who have spent extensive time in the valley. Guides are reviewed before publication for accuracy, structure, and tone. Many posts are byline-stamped with the "Napa.now Editorial Team"; specialized contributor bylines are added where applicable.
How we research
- Firsthand familiarity. Recommendations begin from on-the-ground knowledge of Napa Valley towns, roads, and operators.
- Public review data. We cross-reference recent guest feedback on platforms like GetYourGuide, Booking.com, Google, and TripAdvisor to validate quality and current operating status.
- Operator websites and official sources. Prices, opening hours, reservation requirements, and policy details are pulled from official sources, not third-party aggregators.
- Historical and regional context. History and viticulture claims are checked against established secondary sources, including published wine writing and Napa Valley Vintners records.
Independence
Napa.now is not owned by — and accepts no payment from — any winery, hotel, tour operator, or restaurant in exchange for editorial placement. Our revenue comes exclusively from affiliate partnerships and advertising, both of which are disclosed on every page. Affiliate commission size does not influence rankings, inclusion, or wording of recommendations. See our Affiliate Disclosure for the full breakdown.
Updates and freshness
Travel information goes stale fast. Each long-form guide displays a "Last updated" date near the top. We review high-traffic guides at least every six months — sooner when seasons change, when a featured operator significantly changes pricing or policy, or when readers flag outdated information.
Corrections
If you spot something inaccurate — an outdated price, a closed winery, a broken link, or a factual error — please email hello@napa.now. We aim to verify and correct legitimate issues within two business days. Substantive corrections are noted with a dated update on the affected guide.
Use of AI
We may use AI tools to assist with research summaries, outlining, and copy editing. All published guides are reviewed, restructured, and fact-checked by human editors before publication. We do not publish unedited AI output as editorial content.
User content
Napa.now does not currently host user-generated reviews or comments. When we quote verified guest reviews from third-party booking platforms, the source is identified.
